ICA recently hosted a webinar to offer members and Iowa cattle producers more information about the recently detected Asian Longhorned Tick (ALHT) in Iowa. During this webinar, guest presenter Dr. Cassandra Olds, assistant professor in the Department of Entomology at Kansas State, covered what is known about ALHT and Theileriosis, their impact on cattle, prevention and treatment options, and what to expect next. She also took questions at the end of the session to answer specific concerns of participants.
