Cattlemen at the Capitol
Although the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association is represented daily at the capitol by a contracted lobbyist and ICA staff, Cattlemen at the Capitol provides a concerted effort for cattle industry issues to be brought to the forefront.
Cattlemen and women will have the opportunity to interact with elected offices on a few ICA legislative priorities, to include:
- Foreign Animal Disease preparedness and response efforts;
- Environmental regulations;
- Farm chauffeurs and licenses;
- Governor Reynolds’ tax package known as the Invest in Iowa Act.
All ICA members are welcome to attend to share legislative concerns. We hope to see you there.
Wear your cattleman attire and make it known that the boots are on the hill!
