Registrations being taken for 25th Annual Beef Masters Open
Dates and locations have been set for the 2014 Beef Masters Open tournaments. The Iowa Cattlemen’s Association will hold the west tournament June 23 at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. The east tournament will be Aug. 4 at the Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg.
Registration and sponsorship forms for both tournaments are on the ICA website in the ICA Programs dropdown menu. You can also get the information by calling the ICA offices at 515-296-2266.
“This will be the 25th year that ICA members have gotten together on a golf course to spend a day of fun and camaraderie at the Beef Masters Open,” said Merle Witt, ICA membership coordinator. “Past events show us that our golfers really enjoy getting together with others in the cattle and beef business. Our tournament is the most fun you can have on a golf course!”
Beef Masters West is a two tournament event, with each being an 18-hole, four person best shot tournament.
The morning tournament begins at 8 a.m. and costs $300 per team (or $75 per person). The afternoon tournament begins at 1 p.m., and costs $360/team ($90/individual). Both tournaments include a noon meal, golf carts, commemorative hat, hole and putting contests, and opportunities to win prizes by flight. The morning event includes a continental breakfast, while the afternoon tournament will conclude with a steak supper.
Golfers interested in playing both tournaments at Lake Panorama can register their team for $640 to attend the full day.
Registration deadline for the West tournament is May 2.
Beef Masters Open-East in Shellsburg will be a single tournament that begins with a shotgun start at noon. The cost is $360/team, and includes lunch, golf carts, commemorative hat, hole and putting contests, and opportunities to win prizes by flight. It also concludes with a steak supper.
Registration deadline for the tournament in Shellsburg is May 30.
