Beef Production Links
Iowa is known around the world for its high quality, mouth-watering grain-fed beef. As one of the largest segments of Iowa agriculture, beef production is important to the state's economic well-being.
The beef industry is a key part of Governor Vilsack's mission to make Iowa the Food Capital of the World. More than 56,000 people in the state owe their livelihood to the beef industry. The Iowa cattle industry supplies more than $5 billion gross economic output to the state's economy.
